Staff Instructor - Machining and Fabrication

About the role

This position supports students and faculty with fabrication needs, ranging from class and capstone projects to faculty lab and research assistance. It also involves instructing engineering students on fabrication techniques and the safe operation of related equipment and tools.

Responsibilities

• Support students and faculty with fabrication needs, including class and capstone projects, faculty lab and research assistance.
• Instruct engineering students on fabrication techniques and the safe operation of related equipment and tools.
• Teach ME200 course, providing instruction on manufacturing processes and safe use of university machinery.
• Consult with teams and individuals to enhance their understanding of manufacturing processes and the safe use of university machinery.

Requirements

• High School (or GED) level ability in grammar, spelling, basic composition, and math.
• Advanced understanding of aerospace manufacturing and techniques.
