Role Description

Arcadis is seeking an Environmental Geologist to join our Resilience Environment team in Reno, NV or Las Vegas, NV. This role offers a blend of field (25-40%) and office-based work, providing hands-on experience with support for mentorship and professional growth. You’ll collaborate with engineers, project/program managers, and technical experts on a variety of impactful projects.

Role Accountabilities

  • Assist Project Managers (PMs) in planning and executing baseline surveys, permitting, data evaluations, regulatory compliance, environmental site characterization, investigation, and remediation tasks.
  • Collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines, hydrologists, and geologists on relevant project work.
  • Participate in all aspects of permitting, site investigation, and remediation projects.
  • Communicate and work closely with project teams, clients, and regulatory agencies.
  • Perform fieldwork which may include drilling oversight for soil sampling and/or groundwater well installation, groundwater sampling, or subcontractor oversight.
  • Assist with writing and preparing technical reports, work plans, letters, and memorandums.
  • Conduct project-related research (historical data, regulations, etc.).
  • Prepare periodic status/program reports.
  • Analyze and interpret field data.
  • Utilize basic software skills such as Leapfrog, and ArcGIS.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's of Science in Geology, Hydrogeology, or closely related field (i.e., environmental science, physical science)
    • 5 years of experience
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Current OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training
    • MSHA 24 HR Surface Miner

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $68,400 - $102,600. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
