Role Description
Arcadis is seeking an Environmental Geologist to join our Resilience Environment team in Reno, NV or Las Vegas, NV. This role offers a blend of field (25-40%) and office-based work, providing hands-on experience with support for mentorship and professional growth. You’ll collaborate with engineers, project/program managers, and technical experts on a variety of impactful projects.
Role Accountabilities
- Assist Project Managers (PMs) in planning and executing baseline surveys, permitting, data evaluations, regulatory compliance, environmental site characterization, investigation, and remediation tasks.
- Collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines, hydrologists, and geologists on relevant project work.
- Participate in all aspects of permitting, site investigation, and remediation projects.
- Communicate and work closely with project teams, clients, and regulatory agencies.
- Perform fieldwork which may include drilling oversight for soil sampling and/or groundwater well installation, groundwater sampling, or subcontractor oversight.
- Assist with writing and preparing technical reports, work plans, letters, and memorandums.
- Conduct project-related research (historical data, regulations, etc.).
- Prepare periodic status/program reports.
- Analyze and interpret field data.
- Utilize basic software skills such as Leapfrog, and ArcGIS.
Qualifications & Experience
- Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's of Science in Geology, Hydrogeology, or closely related field (i.e., environmental science, physical science)
- 5 years of experience
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Current OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training
- MSHA 24 HR Surface Miner

Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $68,400 - $102,600. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
