About the role

The CoreWeave team is seeking a founding frontend engineer to build high-performance interfaces for visualizing and planning datacenter infrastructure. This role involves creating tools that network engineers, fleet engineers, and operations teams can use to plan, visualize, and manage massive amounts of physical infrastructure across dozens of sites.

Responsibilities

  • Build extremely high-performance interfaces for visualizing and planning datacenter infrastructure, often rendering massive amounts of structured records (device inventories, cable plans, rack assignments, power allocations) with sub-second interaction and filtering.
  • Create interactive planning tools for rack elevations, floor layouts, power distribution, and network topology that let engineers design, model, and validate builds before physical work begins.
  • Develop data-dense views and dashboards that serve as the authoritative source for build planning and asset tracking across CoreWeave's global footprint.
  • Design and architect the frontend, including a component library, state management, data fetching patterns, and build tooling designed to scale with the team and product scope.
  • Maintain tight integrations with backend APIs (likely gRPC, GraphQL, or REST), collaborating closely with backend engineers to shape API contracts that support the performance and data complexity the UI demands.

Requirements

  • Deep proficiency with TypeScript and React.
  • Experience building interfaces that handle large, complex datasets with extreme performance requirements.
  • A strong understanding of frontend architecture, including component design, state management, data fetching and caching patterns, and build tooling.
  • Track record of frontend performance optimization, including bundle analysis, runtime profiling, and making data-heavy UIs feel fast under real load.
  • Genuine curiosity about or direct experience with physical datacenter infrastructure.
  • Ability to work directly with infrastructure engineers to understand their workflows, identify pain points, and translate complex operational processes into clean, usable interfaces.
  • Experience designing and consuming APIs with attention to type safety, pagination, caching, and error handling.
  • Experience working alongside backend teams writing Go, and comfort collaborating on API design across the stack.
  • Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code, Kubernetes, or cloud platform concepts.
  • Experience with frontend observability, CI/CD pipelines, and modern build systems.
  • Familiarity with authentication, authorization, and frontend security best practices for internal tooling.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of professional frontend engineering experience, with meaningful senior-level ownership of production systems.
