About the role

The Staff Expeditor is responsible for providing expediting deliverables for Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects upon receipt of an approved purchase order through the closeout of the project. They track the receipt, inspection, approval and return of all deliverables required by the contract. They monitor and report the supplier's production schedule to ensure milestones are being met. They prepare and present schedule updates and other status reports to the project team. They assess potential fabrication or shipment delays and collaborate with the supplier to resolve to meet deliverables. They consult with the supplier to ensure timely transportation and lifting plans and communicate these plans to the jobsite according to construction sequencing parameters. They manage and schedule deliveries to multiple sites and serve as a liaison between the supplier and the site personnel. They manage material deliveries onsite and identify and report discrepancies to the supplier and recommend resolution of the discrepancies. They ensure final documentation is submitted for completion of payment milestones. They perform other duties as assigned. They comply with all policies and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely transportation and lifting plans are communicated to the jobsite according to construction sequencing parameters.
  • Serve as a liaison between the supplier and the site personnel, managing deliveries to multiple sites.
  • Identify and report discrepancies in material/submittal tracking to the supplier and recommend resolutions.
  • Ensure final documentation is submitted for completion of payment milestones.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, construction management or related field, and 3 years direct experience in project procurement expediting required.
  • Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Basic knowledge of Primavera scheduling reports and the use of material/submittal tracking software is preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task to support multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be team-oriented with the ability to work with limited supervision.
