About the role
Century West Engineering, a Premier Northwest Civil Engineering Consulting Firm, is looking for interns to join the team next summer.
Responsibilities
- Gain work-ready CAD skills and introduction to construction observation and fieldwork
- Develop understanding of Century West’s work and company values
- Learn what public works consulting is and how it differs from agency or private development work
- Understand the lifecycle of public works projects
- Depending on interests and host office, focus on municipal transportation and utilities projects, aviation projects, or a mix
- Possible host offices and practice areas: Portland, OR – Municipal and Aviation; Bend, OR – Municipal and Aviation; Spokane, WA – Municipal and Aviation; Federal Way, WA – Aviation; Bothell, WA – Aviation; Ellensburg, WA – Aviation; Sandpoint, ID – Municipal; Coeur d’Alene, ID – Municipal
Requirements
- Civil or Electrical Engineering major
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited college or university
- Incoming junior or senior (preference given to seniors)
- Interest in making a difference in communities through public works projects
- AutoCAD Civil3D experience or willingness to learn
Skills
Interns will gain work-ready CAD skills and be introduced to construction observation and fieldwork.
