Staff Engineer, Software Release and Packaging - RISC V

About the role

Tenstorrent is leading the industry on cutting-edge AI technology, revolutionizing performance expectations, ease of use, and cost efficiency. The RISC-V software release and packaging engineer will build, package, and release the software that enables our customers to succeed with our RISC-V and system IP products.

Responsibilities

• Build, package, and release software that integrates Linux and other open-source software with Tenstorrent's proprietary software.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software with hardware.
• Create and improve automated processes to deliver quality products efficiently.
• Work with CI/CD systems and software build tools to streamline the software development lifecycle.
• Use scripting languages like Python and Bash for automating tasks and improving productivity.
• Manage Git repositories, handle release management, and utilize branching methodologies to maintain code quality and consistency.

Requirements

• Experience with Linux system creation tools such as Yocto or Buildroot.
• Hands-on experience packaging software for other distributions.
• Proficiency with scripting languages like Python and Bash.
• Experience with Git, release management, and branching methodologies.

Qualifications

• Background in Linux and open source development.
• Desire to create and improve automated processes to deliver quality products.
• A collaborative work style with the ability to work across team and technology boundaries.

Skills

• Experience with CI/CD systems and software build tools.
• Proficiency with scripting languages like Python and Bash.
• Knowledge of Git, release management, and branching methodologies.

Pay

Compensation for all engineers at Tenstorrent ranges from $100k - $500k including base and variable compensation targets. Experience, skills, education, background, and location all impact the actual offer made.

Schedule

The role is remote or hybrid in the North America or Australia.
