Staff Engineer - Ruby (Remote)

Remote contract role for a Staff Ruby Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable Ruby-based systems for a global leader in the Technology, Information and Internet industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Ruby on Rails applications and microservices.
• Optimize application performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define technical requirements.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested Ruby code.
• Debug and resolve complex technical issues in production systems.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and JSON-based services.
• Strong knowledge of database design and SQL optimization.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks like RSpec or Minitest.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or similar.

Pay

$30 - $90/hour
