Remote Ruby Developer

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining APIs using Ruby on Rails, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Collaborating with team members to integrate server-side logic with user interfaces.
• Writing maintainable, test-driven code with tools like RSpec and Cypress.
• Participating in Agile practices such as sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
• Identifying and resolving performance issues and bugs.
• Documenting technical processes and contributing to code reviews.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails, RESTful API development, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with version control (Git) and Agile methodologies.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with React form development, CI/CD pipelines, and log analysis tools.
• Knowledge of accessibility, web performance, and federal sector experiences.
