Responsibilities
- Manage key customer relationships across consumer, industrial, aerospace, military, automotive, and other markets, with a focus on quality-related matters.
- Oversee and communicate customer failure analysis requests, issue resolution, improvement initiatives, and new product introduction activities (APQP/PPAP), as well as PCN communications and approvals, periodic quality reviews, and customer quality status reporting.
- Collaborate with sales, customer operations, business unit, test, design, product, planning, and regional quality engineering teams to address customer inquiries and resolve quality-related challenges in a timely manner.
- Serve as the primary customer interface for quality requirements, field returns, 8D reports, and customer audits.
- Advocate for customers by representing their needs and expectations, interpreting requirements, and driving quality systems and process improvements that support evolving customer needs, satisfaction, and scorecard performance.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and the ability to develop and facilitate data-driven solutions to complex issues.
Qualifications
- 5–10 years of experience in Customer Quality Engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or a related technical field; master’s degree preferred.
- Strong knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, failure mechanisms, reliability stress testing, and failure analysis tools and techniques.
- Experience working with demanding customers and performing effectively in high-pressure situations.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, with strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present effectively to multiple organizational levels both internally and externally.
- Ability to travel locally, domestically within the United States, and internationally as needed.
- Knowledge of commercial and automotive semiconductor standards such as APQP, PPAP, SPC, FMEA, and AEC-Q100 is ideal.
- Familiarity with issue-resolution methodologies including 8D, 5-Why, Is/Is-Not, Ishikawa, fishbone, and fault tree analysis.
- Data analysis skills for identifying trends in semiconductor manufacturing data, customer issues, and project challenges are a plus.
Pay
The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $130,168 to $188,490. Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.
Schedule
This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.
