Staff Engineer
Position Summary
Our Hartwell, Georgia, factory, measuring 500,000 square feet, is our most versatile facility, enabling rapid and efficient product line switching. Responsibilities
- Oversee equipment and factory layout design
- Manage capital programs and key projects
- Ensure upkeep and maintenance of the factory, utilities, and grounds in compliance with regulations and company policies
- Work with cross-functional groups to manage and execute key projects
- Hold budgetary responsibility for assigned projects
- Develop design/solutions in accordance with engineering safety, production, sanitary, and accounting procedures and specifications
- Direct the installation of new equipment and/or modification/rearrangement of existing equipment for assigned projects
- Monitor outside contractors to ensure compliance with company standards including sanitation, safety, quality, productivity, and budgeting
- Prepare estimates, schedules, and issue all necessary documents/drawings for construction on assigned projects
- Evaluate bids, award contracts, and issue purchase orders
- Provide engineering consulting services to business teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- 2+ years’ experience in an engineering or capital project management role within a manufacturing, industrial, military, or related environment
Pay
The approximate pay range for this position is $84,000 - $108,000. Final compensation may vary based on factors including knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
