Staff Engineer

About the role

Fehr Graham is a fast-growing Midwest engineering environmental firm seeking a motivated Staff Engineer. The ideal candidate is eager to work on diverse projects in civil, municipal, land development, and environmental engineering.

Responsibilities

• Apply standard practices and techniques in specific situations, adjust and correlate data, recognize discrepancies in results, and follow standard office procedures through a series of related detailed steps or processes.
• Work with clients and firm project managers to deliver projects with the highest quality – on time and on budget.
• Collaborate with and learn from fellow staff engineers, project engineers, environmental scientists, and project managers.
• Develop leadership skills that build autonomy.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in civil, municipal, land development, and/or environmental engineering.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Passion for engineering and a commitment to excellence.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Experience with project management tools and software.
• Knowledge of local and state regulations and codes.

Skills

• Proficient in AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar drafting software.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

$70,000 - $85,000 / year.
