About the Role
The Per Diem Staff Educator is responsible for developing, implementing, conducting, and evaluating in-service programs, orientation, and continuing education for nurses, nursing students, and other staff. This role establishes educational policies and procedures, acts as a resource for staff and management, participates in continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities, and serves on special committees.
Responsibilities
- Develops and directs orientation programs, in-services, and continuing education.
- Supervises student education programs and ensures compliance with standards.
- Continually evaluates training needs and determines the effectiveness of educational programs.
- Participates in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensures all documentation is survey-ready and in compliance at all times.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in employee training, safety training, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- CPI Certification preferred.
