Staff Development Coordinator/Infection Control Nurse

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Staffing Development Coordinator/Infection Control Nurse to join our team at Millington Healthcare in Millington, TN.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with nursing leadership to develop and implement staffing strategies to ensure adequate staffing levels and optimize patient care outcomes.
• Conduct surveillance and monitoring of infection control practices, identify areas for improvement, and develop and implement corrective actions to prevent and control infections.
• Develop and implement education programs for staff on infection control practices, patient safety, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with infection control policies and procedures.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to identify and address areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure a comprehensive approach to infection control and patient safety.

Requirements

• Current RN license in the state of Tennessee
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
• 1-2 years of experience in infection control or a related field
• Strong understanding of infection control principles and practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
