About the Role

Argus is seeking an experienced Staff Controls & Integration Engineer to join a team of innovators working on complex, high-impact projects that keep critical fueling infrastructure running safely and efficiently. In this hands-on role, you’ll design, program, commission, troubleshoot, and support industrial automation systems for airports, the U.S. Military, and railroads.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and work with field instrumentation and automation platforms including PLC, HMI, SCADA, historians, and industrial networks.
  • Collaborate with senior Controls Integration Staff Engineers, Controls Integration Manager, and project teams to implement and support control systems from design through execution, commissioning, and ongoing support.
  • Own and lead small projects or portions of larger projects, including developing PLC logic, HMI systems, network layout, and required documentation.
  • Participate in review and acceptance of programming and projects through FAT/SAT’s.
  • Conduct system programming, integration, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning, both in-house and at client sites.
  • Deliver technical support and field service for installed control systems and respond to client emergency calls.
  • Comply with industry codes, safety standards, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Adapt quickly to new technologies and apply learned concepts to system implementation.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Electronics & Engineering Technology, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 3+ years in controls engineering, automation, or industrial system integration.
  • PLC programming experience with major platforms (Allen Bradley, GE, Modicon 580/EcoStructure).
  • HMI/SCADA experience with platforms such as Inductive Automation, FactoryTalk, or Wonderware.
  • Networking knowledge as it pertains to plant floor/field automation control systems.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office products.
  • Database experience (SQL, DB2, etc.) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to travel for installation and commissioning.

Working Conditions

The position requires work in a combination of jobsite and office environments.
