Staff Commodity Manager, Key Technologies
for sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Include only sections that have real specific content. No job title heading. No Job ID etc. Remove boilerplate, EEO, legal, application instructions, etc.
We need to parse the posting.
Let's extract sections:
- About the role: The intro paragraphs describing company, mission, culture, etc. That's about the role? Actually it's about company and role context. We'll put as About the role.
- Responsibilities: The bullet list under "In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To ..." includes many responsibilities. We'll list them as - .
- Requirements: The "Essential Requirements Of The Job Include" bullet list (though it's a paragraph with line breaks). We'll extract each requirement as list items.
- Qualifications: The "It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:" list (preferred qualifications). Also maybe MBA etc. We'll treat as Qualifications (preferred). Could also be Skills but we have separate Skills section maybe.
- Skills: Not explicitly listed separate; we could combine technical skills under Requirements or Qualifications. But we need to follow instruction: include a section only when posting has real specific content. There's no explicit Skills heading; we could omit Skills section.
- Benefits: The paragraph about benefits: "Beckman Coulter Life Sciences, a Danaher operating company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs..." plus "We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees." Also note about pay disclaimer. We'll include Benefits section with those details.
- Pay: The posting does not mention specific pay/salary. It says "Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned..." but that's not a specific pay figure. According to instruction: never create Pay/Schedule/Benefits sections unless the posting actually states them. It does not state actual pay amount or range, so we should NOT include Pay section.
- Schedule: Not mentioned; no schedule info. So omit Schedule.
We also need to include location: "located in Indianapolis, Indiana and will be an on-site role." That could be part of About the role or maybe a separate section? Not a defined heading; we could include in About the role paragraph.
We must not repeat job title as heading. Not include Job ID etc.
We must remove boilerplate: EEO, legal, accommodation contact, etc. Also remove "Learn about the Danaher Business System..." maybe part of About the role? It's generic but could stay as it's about company. However it's somewhat promotional but not boilerplate; we can keep.
We need to preserve all substantive information; do not invent or summarize away detail. So we need to keep details like travel requirement 10% both domestic and international. Also mention reporting to Sr. Manager, Commodity Management. Also mention part of Global Procurement organization.
We need to ensure we don't omit any substantive content.
Let's extract content:

That's a lot; we can keep as paragraph(s). Might be long but okay.
Responsibilities: list:
- Lead the global sourcing and supplier strategy for the Key Technologies (Electro-Mechanical) commodity portfolio, including precision machined component assemblies, motion control devices, electromechanical systems, motors, sensors, and related technologies.
- Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and R&D teams to align sourcing strategies with product performance, manufacturability, and business objectives.
- Evaluate supplier manufacturing processes, technical capabilities, automation technologies, capacity, and quality systems to support supplier selection and development.
- Drive value engineering, design-to-cost, should-cost modeling, and supplier innovation initiatives to improve product performance and reduce total cost.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI), supplier qualification, component transfers, dual-sourcing, and risk mitigation projects across global manufacturing sites.
- Lead RFQ activities with a strong focus on technical evaluation, manufacturing feasibility, quality requirements, total cost, and supplier scalability.
- Develop deep knowledge of electro-mechanical technologies, manufacturing methods, materials, and industry cost drivers to influence sourcing and engineering decisions.
Also maybe mention reporting to Sr. Manager, Commodity Management and part of Global Procurement organization located in Indianapolis, Indiana and will be an on-site role. That could be part of About the role or Responsibilities? It's more about role context; we could add a bullet under Responsibilities? But it's not a duty; it's reporting line. Could be included in About the role paragraph.
Requirements (essential):
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, supplier engineering, commodity management, procurement engineering, strategic sourcing, or related technical roles.
- Strong understanding of electro-mechanical components, assemblies, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, GD&T requirements, bills of material, and manufacturing process documentation.
- Experience evaluating supplier manufacturing capabilities including machining, sheet metal fabrication, molding, electromechanical assembly, automation, and testing processes.
- Demonstrated experience working directly with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality organizations to resolve technical and supply chain challenges.
- Proven ability to lead cost reduction, supplier development, value engineering, or process improvement initiatives.
- Procurement and supplier negotiation experience with the ability to balance technical, quality, and commercial requirements.
- Travel Requirements Ability to travel – 10% both domestic and international.
Note: The travel requirement line is a bit weird: "Travel Requirements Ability to travel – 10% both domestic and international." We'll make it a bullet: Ability to travel – 10% both domestic and international.
Qualifications (preferred):
- Experience in Supplier Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering, Procurement Engineering, or Strategic Sourcing of electro-mechanical commodities.
- Experience supporting regulated industries such as Medical Device, Life Sciences, Diagnostics, Aerospace, or Industrial Manufacturing.
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, DFM/DFA, or Design-to-Value experience.
- Experience with supplier qualification, APQP, PPAP, process validation, and technical risk assessment.
- MBA, Master's Degree in Engineering, or equivalent technical leadership experience.
Benefits:
- Beckman Coulter Life Sciences, a Danaher operating company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives. Whether it’s a health care program or paid time off, our programs contribute to life beyond the job.
- We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
- Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable. The amount and availability of any bonus, commission, benefits, or any other form of compensation and benefits that are allocable to a particular employee remains in the Company's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at the Company’s sole discretion, consistent with the law.
But the note about pay is more about compensation disclaimer; we could keep it under Benefits as it's about benefits/compensation. However instruction says do not create Pay section unless posting actually states them. This note is about pay but not stating actual pay; it's a disclaimer. Might be considered boilerplate? It's legal disclaimer about compensation. Might be considered boilerplate; but it's part of benefits description. Safer to keep it under Benefits as it's part of benefits description. However it's somewhat legal; but we can keep.
We must not include application instructions, EEO, accommodation contact, etc. So we will cut those.
Now produce HTML:
About the role

Responsibilities

Requirements

Qualifications

Benefits

We need to ensure we don't include empty sections.
Check for any duplicated lines: we must avoid repeating same content.
Now craft the About the role paragraph: combine the overview into maybe two paragraphs for readability but still . Could be one long paragraph but okay.
Let's write:

That covers the overview.
Now Responsibilities list as above.
Now Requirements list.
Now Qualifications list.
Now Benefits list: we can have two bullets: one about benefit programs, one about specific benefits package, plus maybe the disclaimer as a third bullet.
Let's craft:

That seems fine.
Now ensure we didn't include any boilerplate like EEO, accommodation, legal disclaimer about disability, etc. We removed those.
Now output only HTML fragment.
