Responsibilities
- Apply software solutions to automate manual processes and reduce complexity within the infrastructure domain.
- Influence decision-making on core cloud infrastructure and systems.
- Take ownership of projects and ensure they are completed successfully.
- Use knowledge of software development, IT, and security to enhance platform security, resilience, and performance.
- Proactively seek opportunities to improve system observability and reliability.
- Collaborate with the engineering organization to identify and implement workflow and tool improvements.
- Mentor, provide design and code reviews, and offer architecture recommendations to peers and other teams.
- Document processes to minimize dependency on critical paths.
Requirements
- Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 6+ years of experience in methodical, efficient troubleshooting, working with Linux, networking stacks, and operating systems.
- Experience with multiple programming languages and proficiency in troubleshooting across the stack (Python, Golang, Bash, ReactJS, etc).
- High-level skills with managed services from various cloud providers (AWS preferred), including familiarity with Kubernetes (EKS), Helm, and building operational metrics, dashboards, and alerts.
- Understanding of container technologies, orchestration, and techniques, including service meshes, dynamic configuration, container scanning, and secrets management.
- Experience with agile environments, automating repetitive tasks, and building tools (Python or Golang) to streamline the engineering process.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and experience implementing such codebases to manage cloud resources.

- Strong background in Linux and fundamental knowledge of operating systems.
- Experienced with multiple programming languages and proficient in troubleshooting across the stack.
- Proficient in cloud technologies, particularly AWS, and experience with Kubernetes (EKS), Helm, and building operational metrics, dashboards, and alerts.
- Expertise in container technologies, orchestration, and techniques, including service meshes, dynamic configuration, container scanning, and secrets management.
- Experience with agile methodologies, automating repetitive tasks, and building tools to standardize the engineering process.
- Knowledgeable in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and experience implementing such codebases to manage cloud resources.
