About the role
The Staff Pharmacist provides patient-centered pharmaceutical care, including clinical services such as antibiotic dosing, warfarin management, renal dosing, and IV-to-PO conversions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare IV admixtures
- Verify orders
- Monitor drug regimens
- Participate in rounds
- Educate patients and healthcare providers
- Assist with medication reconciliation and discharge counseling
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Doctorate in Pharmacy
- Registered pharmacist license
- BCPS certification preferred
Skills
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Ability to evaluate drug appropriateness
- Interpret physician orders
- Collaborate with healthcare teams
Experience
- Hospital pharmacy and clinical experience preferred
- Minimum of 2 years recommended
