About the Opportunity:The STAFF BACKEND ENGINEER will lead the development of the next-generation AI grocery ordering product. This role is critical in defining the architectural direction and building scalable backend systems that directly contribute to expanding the business and enhancing the platform's impact on grocery operations. Responsibilities:Lead design, development, and deployment of scalable APIs and backend systems.Make architectural decisions that influence platform and product evolution.Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and product managers.Partner with product, account management, and engineering teams to deliver integrated client solutions.Support growth of a product used daily in thousands of grocery stores.Utilize advanced AI development tools and technologies. Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.Minimum of 8 years in software development.Experience working in fast-paced AI-driven engineering environments.Proven track record of leading projects from inception to launch independently.Strong communication skills to align technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ability to mentor junior engineers and support team development.Curiosity about complex systems and business domain understanding. Pay Range and Compensation Package:Salary range in the U.S.: $168,000 to $253,000 plus meaningful early-stage equity and benefits.
