Responsibilities
- Draft, negotiate and review a variety of commercial contracts.
- Draft and revise housing agreements, leases and other relevant real estate documents.
- Afford assistance and advice to Paralegals in the preparation of contracts and external communications.
- Respond to escalated resident complaints, attorneys and agencies, with respect to issues arising under State and Federal Fair Housing laws, rules and regulations.
- Respond to vendor and resident disputes.
- Cook up coordination with outside counsel on litigation matters.
- Cook up coordination with inside and outside counsel on entity and asset acquisitions.
- Perform legal due diligence analysis with respect to potential acquisitions and provide guidance.
Qualifications
- Law degree from an accredited university or law school, admission to the bar of at least one US State and 2-5 years of professional work experience, preferably within Multi-family housing.
- Fair Housing law experience is strongly preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Property Management Systems.
