Staff Attorney

About the role

The role is responsible for managing the city's public parks and ensuring they are maintained in a safe and attractive condition.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair park facilities including playgrounds, walking trails, and picnic areas.
• Plan and implement landscaping projects to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the parks.
• Manage the budget and resources allocated to park maintenance and improvement projects.
• Respond to visitor inquiries and provide information about park rules and regulations.
• Collaborate with community groups and local organizations to promote park usage and events.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Parks and Recreation Management or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in park management or related field.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of safety standards and practices.
• Experience with budgeting and financial management.

Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with landscaping and horticulture.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
