About the role
The role is responsible for managing the city's public parks and ensuring they are maintained in a safe and attractive condition.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair park facilities including playgrounds, walking trails, and picnic areas.
- Plan and implement landscaping projects to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the parks.
- Manage the budget and resources allocated to park maintenance and improvement projects.
- Respond to visitor inquiries and provide information about park rules and regulations.
- Collaborate with community groups and local organizations to promote park usage and events.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Parks and Recreation Management or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in park management or related field.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of safety standards and practices.
- Experience with budgeting and financial management.
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with landscaping and horticulture.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
