Staff Attorney

About the role

The New Hampshire Public Defender is seeking Staff Attorney positions across various locations in the state, including Concord, Dover, Keene, Laconia, Littleton, Manchester, Nashua, Newport, Orford, and Stratham.

Responsibilities

• Effectively communicate with clients
• Spot and anticipate legal issues
• Write, edit, and review motions
• Made sound legal arguments in the courtroom
• Work independently and collaboratively

Requirements

• Full-time and part-time positions available
• A J.D. from an accredited law school
• Admitted to the New Hampshire Bar or eligible to waive into the New Hampshire Bar immediately
• A valid driver's license
• Demonstrated commitment to criminal defense
• A team-orientated, professional attitude
• The ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• A strong and established work ethic

Qualifications

Every Staff Attorney is provided with:
