Purpose
We are seeking a diligent, team-oriented, non-partner track Attorney with substantial litigation experience and a strong emphasis on legal writing. This role is ideal for an attorney who excels in drafting, analyzing, and refining complex legal documents in a fast-paced, high-demand environment. The Attorney will play a critical role in producing high-quality written work product to support case strategy and execution.
Essential Functions
- Draft, revise, and finalize complex legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and written discovery, with a high degree of precision and clarity.
- Collaborate closely with partners and associates to develop written legal arguments and case strategy.
- Conduct in-depth legal research and translate findings into persuasive, well-structured written analysis.
- Prepare memoranda and other internal work product to support litigation efforts.
- Draft client communications and litigation updates for internal and external use.
- Absorb and analyze facts, ensuring all written materials accurately reflect the record.
- Communicate, as needed, with courts, outside counsel, clients, experts, and vendors in support of written submissions and case progress.
- Ensure all written work complies with applicable federal and state procedural rules and court requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated strength in legal writing, editing, and written advocacy.
- Experience drafting complex litigation documents across multiple jurisdictions.
- Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in written work product.
- Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to synthesize complex legal issues into clear, concise writing.
- Able to manage multiple writing assignments and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Able to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive matters with discretion.
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Familiarity with federal and state court rules and procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word (including document formatting and editing), Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Education/Experience
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
- At least three years of litigation experience, with a demonstrated focus on legal drafting and writing.
Certificates/Licenses Required
- Active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. State Bar.
