Staff Assistant- Part Time

About the role

Staff Assistant - Part Time in SUNY Broome's Admissions Department, reporting to the Director of Admissions and/or the Enrollment Management Coordinator. The position is 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday with occasional evening and weekend hours. This versatile role supports enrollment and admissions efforts across departments to attract, enroll, and retain prospective students.

Responsibilities

• Assists in managing the official SUNY Broome Admissions email correspondence, phone calls, and the "Welcome Center" desk.
• Assists with the general operations of Admissions, including but not limited to: reviewing applications and other forms specific to the department and traveling to events.
• Meeting with potential students and their families.
• Collecting data and preparing reports, mass student communications.
• Assistance with workshops, seminars, and orientation.
• Assisting with Dual Enrollment coordination.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or Associate's degree with the equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Additional training and education in the applicable field is desirable.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Banner and Slate experience preferred.
• Visa sponsorship is not available; applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Pay

The hourly rate for this position is $26.24.

Schedule

20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend hours.
