About the Role
This position is for a Staff Assistant II to assist with all administrative support duties for UTampa Online Adult and Summer Academic Program and UTampa Online. The role reports to the Director of Distance Learning.
Responsibilities
- Provide general UTampa Online support, including reporting for UTO-related online development and enrollment information.
- Work with the Office of Public Affairs and Communication for website updates.
- Collaborate with campus partners on annual catalog updates, additions, and edits.
- Manage budget items such as UTO expenses, travel, registration, and technology subscriptions.
- Coordinate annual budget planning with the UTO director.
- Manage and track course development for UTampa Online using Excel spreadsheets.
- Create course development progress reports from spreadsheet data.
- Facilitate UTampa Online cohort meetings and the UTO annual luncheon, coordinating with other university units.
- Handle stipend payments to faculty for online course development.
- Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with diverse cultures and backgrounds.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- At least two years of experience in a higher education setting preferred.
- Two years of skilled administrative and/or office management experience.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Adobe Creative Cloud tools, and database management tools.
- Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn University of Tampa software programs such as Workday and other relevant applications.
- Willingness to embrace new technologies and innovative organizational practices.

Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Summer: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Occasional evenings and weekends may be required.
