Responsibilities

  • Answer phones and maintain office voicemail
  • Greet office visitors
  • Assist people who have appointments with the Senator or other staff members
  • Answer constituent requests for general information and ensure requests for assistance are directed to the appropriate staff member
  • Draft daily summary of constituent input
  • Monitor delivery and pickup of materials and sort incoming mail
  • Maintain front office (e.g., watering plants, ensuring magazines are up-to-date, maintaining office guest book, etc.)
  • Assist with various administrative duties
  • Ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment

Requirements

  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and highly-motivated individual
  • Excellent organizational and oral and written communication skills

Qualifications

  • Spanish-speaking abilities are a plus
  • Experience with Internet Quorum is a plus

Pay

Salary is commensurate with experience.

The position is in person and based in San Diego.
