Staff AI Engineer // High Growth Startup // Fully Remote
About the role
A fast-growing B2B SaaS company in the property management space is rethinking how software gets built from the ground up. This is a full-time, 100% remote opportunity for a Staff AI Engineer to join a small, high-velocity team using AI-native development workflows and agentic coding tools to transform the software development lifecycle. The role is open to candidates anywhere in the US.
This team heavily utilizes and builds with AI tools. If you are an engineer who has already made AI coding agents a core part of your daily work, this role was designed for you. You will own full experiment loops from hypothesis to shipped product, operate with a high degree of autonomy, and help define the future of software engineering in practice. This is a rare opportunity to be on the ground floor of something genuinely new at a fast-growing company that gives engineers the space to do their best work.

- End-to-End Experimentation (30%): Drive rapid learning loops from hypothesis to measurement and iteration.
- Code Quality & Maintenance (20%): Conduct code reviews, refactoring, and maintain AI development loop quality.
Daily Breakdown:
- 50% Hands-on engineering (building and shipping core platform components).
- 25% Experimentation ownership (hypothesis through measurement).
- 15% Technical planning and lightweight documentation.
- 10% Cross-team collaboration and async communication.

- Deep practical experience with modern engineering workflows including CI/CD pipelines, pull requests, debugging, alerting, and deployment strategies.
- Demonstrated history of rapid prototyping, running learning loops, and taking ambiguous problem spaces to functional shipped products.
- Ability to operate with high autonomy, raise blockers proactively, and maintain momentum without step-by-step direction.
Qualifications
- Experience with workflow orchestration and sandboxed execution environments for AI agents.
- Familiarity with AI coding platforms such as Claude Code, Gemini, or similar tools.
- Background in building and maintaining opinionated codebases with solid abstractions optimized for AI-assisted development.
