Key Responsibilities
- Validate Capex Spend submissions from properties by confirming proper coding and ensuring transactions are posted correctly to Host’s ledger.
- Analyze Work-in-Progress and Due To/From Manager for Owner-Funded Capex account balances, preparing and recording adjustments as needed.
- Complete quarterly FF&E escrow reconciliations, identify and communicate variances to properties, and partner with property teams to resolve discrepancies in compliance with SOX guidelines.
- Collaborate with Capital Financial Services and IT to maintain alignment between Workday and Champion (capital tracking platform) for capital project cost reporting and work jointly to resolve inconsistencies.
- Process asset dispositions, including recording of proceeds and performing asset retirements in Workday.
- Participate in Workday release testing for assigned reports and processes to ensure system updates operate as intended.
- Prepare assigned monthly and quarterly reports and reconciliations.
- Support internal and external audit requests related to capital expenditures and asset accounting.
- Afford assistance with additional assignments and special projects as directed.

- Strong Excel skills and proficiency with MS Office.
- Familiarity with Workday or any other major automated accounting system.

- Proactive, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning and process improvement.
Education/Experience
- BS/BA in Accounting/Finance from an accredited university/college.
- Two to four years of progressive experience in accounting.
- Previous experience in real estate, hotel industry preferred.
- CPA or progress toward CPA certification preferred.
