Staff Accountant - Mission Pet Health
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date calculations and records of fixed assets and related accounts in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Prepare accurate journal entries in a timely manner, including, but not limited to, depreciation expense, asset transfers, and dispositions.
- Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts during the month-end close process.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports related to capital expenditure.
- Manage project requests with an innovative approach and superior attention to detail.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, review, and classify construction-in-progress and project-related costs.
- Aid in the preparation of audit schedules and provide documentation as requested by auditors.
- Support capital spending and forecasting processes by providing timely and accurate data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience in accounting, audit, or other relevant professional capacity preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills, with experience handling large datasets.
- Ability to communicate with various levels of management.
- Prioritization, work independently, and proceed with objectives with little to no supervision.
- Experience working with Accounting software is preferred.
