Staff Accountant, Golf Retail

Key Responsibilities

• Aid the Controller with data entry and various accounting and administrative tasks.
• Process invoices and support accounts payable functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation.
• Handle confidential financial information professionally and discreetly.
• Absorb and support account reconciliations and month-end close activities.
• Assist with accounting projects and other administrative duties as assigned.
• Prepare and analyze AP aging reports, cash requirement forecasts, and spend analysis for management.
• Support annual audits by providing documentation, reconciliations, and responses to auditor requests.
• Maintain compliance with GAAP, company accounting policies, and internal controls.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with departments throughout the organization to support business operations and resolve accounting questions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• 2-3 years of corporate accounting experience, preferably within a mid-size or large organization.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Experience working with an ERP system, preferably NetSuite.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with the highest level of discretion.
• Experience working in the golf industry and a passion for the game of golf is strongly preferred.

Pay

Starting salary range is $50,000 - $70,000 annually, based on previous experience.
