Staff Accountant, Finance

This position is remote, with a preference for candidates based in the Dallas area.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive team member experience.
• Communicate and coordinate with Firm stakeholders in Finance and other areas.
• Support data requests and provide requested information to support external audits.
• Analyze accounts and process journal entries for assigned areas.
• Prepare account and bank reconciliations.
• Process foreign entity accounting transactions.
• Compile and analyze financial information to document business transactions and prepare entries to accounts.
• Coordinate, prepare, and provide data to support statutory financial statement audits.
• Monitor compliance with GAAP and Firm procedures.
• Perform variance analysis and review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial transactions.
• Recommend improvements in accounting processes and systems to promote efficiency and internal control.
• Prepare other general ledger reconciliation schedules as needed.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) or equivalent in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university, and two to four years related experience and/or training in a similar environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft® Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research.
• Experience using various ERP accounting systems (Workday Finance experience is a plus).
• CPA or future CPA candidate preferred.

Work Environment

• Standard indoor working environment.
• Occasional long periods of sitting while working at computer.
• Regular interaction with employees at all levels of the Firm, clients, and interface with external vendors as necessary.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This is an individual contributor role with limited supervisory responsibilities related to training employees and reviewing work product for accuracy and completeness.
