Staff Accountant (Contract)
Key Responsibilities
- Performing daily inventory reconciliations across multiple locations and systems
- Researching and resolving volume, inventory, and transaction discrepancies
- Monitoring inventory movements and ensuring data accuracy
- Analyzing inventory-related activity and identifying issues requiring follow-up
- Supporting transportation cost tracking and reconciliation efforts
- Working closely with operations, logistics, and accounting teams
- Assisting with reporting, analysis, and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1-3+ years of contract accounting experience (level commensurate with experience)
- Prior experience in the fuel, energy, or commodities industry preferred
- Strong knowledge of GL accounting, including CIP, LIFO, and exchange transactions
- Experience with fuel pricing or cost accounting highly desirable
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
About the role
This is a fully on-site position in the North Dallas area.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, TX.
Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $46.00/hr.
