Staff Accountant

We are looking for an entry-level Staff Accountant to join our team in Irving, Texas. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our accounting operations, collaborating across departments, and ensuring the accuracy of financial processes. Responsibilities

• Perform daily reconciliations of bank accounts to ensure accurate financial records.
• Support month-end closing activities and assist in preparing financial statements.
• Complete monthly account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies as needed.
• Provide assistance with accounts payable processes, including weekly check runs.
• Prepare monthly credit card reports, including coding transactions and reconciling to the general ledger.
• Assist with accounts receivable operations and processes.
• Prepare and file sales tax returns in compliance with applicable regulations.
• Contribute to property tax renditions, valuations, and reconciliation of tax bills.
• Support the filing of annual reports and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
• Participate in accounting projects and initiatives, offering research and solutions for accounting challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and integrity.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams.
• Familiarity with general ledger processes, journal entries, and corporate tax principles.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced accounting environment.
