About the role
Platinum Dental Services supports dental practices with the back-office resources they need to focus on patient care, and this role plays a key part in keeping our financial operations accurate and running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and balance sheet accounts monthly
- Process accounts payable transactions
- Auxiliary with month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare supporting schedules for financial statements
- Auxiliary with payroll processing and related reporting as needed
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Auxiliary with budget preparation and variance analysis
- Support internal and external audits by preparing requested documentation
- Identify and help implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Perform other accounting duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Associate's degree with relevant experience considered)
- 0–3 years of relevant accounting experience, including internships
- Working knowledge of GAAP
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or similar) and strong Excel skills
- Experience with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail) a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a genuine desire to learn and grow in the role
Pay
Starting salary: $55,000–$65,000/year, depending on experience
