Responsibilities
- Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, and utilities.
- Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
- Monitoring and analyzing accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
- Meeting financial accounting objectives.
- Coordinating and completing annual audits.
- Providing recommendations to improve systems and ensure financial accuracy.
- Working closely with the financial management team.
- Preparing monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
- Maintaining the annual budget and forecasts.
- Assisting with tax audits and tax returns.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of two years of experience in accounting or a related field.
- Proficiency in accounts receivable and general ledger functions and systems.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to direct and supervise.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional skills in Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay
$60,000 - $75,000 per year
