About the role
This Staff Accountant role at Hannecard is foundational, offering hands-on learning and growth opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Support AP and AR — invoice processing, payment application, collections, and account reconciliations.
- Drive month-end close — reconciliations, accruals, and account analysis, working under the Controller's guidance.
- Support inventory accuracy — assist with cycle counts and inventory reconciliation, and partner with operations to investigate discrepancies.
- Be a reliable contact for vendors and customers on billing and payment questions.
- Administer expense reports, reimbursements, and the corporate-card program — reconciling activity and keeping records clean.
- Handle vendor administration — W-9 collection, vendor file maintenance, and 1099 preparation support.
- Support our ERP and financial workflows and help keep reporting accurate.
How you'll grow
You'll be mentored directly by our Controller and have access to experienced finance leadership. As you build mastery, you'll take on increasing ownership of key accounting areas, including banking and treasury support, compliance calendar management, fixed-asset tracking, and year-end audit coordination. Eventually, you'll support our additional U.S. operations.
Compensation and Working Conditions
- Base salary: $50,000–$60,000 per year, commensurate with experience, with a clear path to increases as you take on greater ownership.
- A competitive benefits package.
- Direct mentorship from our Controller, and real in-house advancement opportunities.
What you'll bring
- Average 1–2 years of accounting experience (strong internship experience counts).
- Solid Microsoft Excel skills and a willingness to learn our systems.
- A real attention to detail and the curiosity to understand the "why," not just the "what."
- Organized, reliable, and genuinely eager to learn and grow.
Who thrives here
Someone early in their accounting career who wants to be developed, not just deployed. If you're the kind of person who asks good questions, takes ownership of what's in front of you, and wants a place that will grow with you, you'll do well here.
