About the role

The primary responsibility of the Staff Accountant is to play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the accounting department. This role's contributions are essential in ensuring guest satisfaction with inquiries, achieving the operating budget and forecast goals, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Responsibilities

• Calculate, post, and verify financial data
• Prepare and maintain financial reports
• Verify daily deposits
• Generate reports detailing any discrepancies or variances in deposits
• Open and reconcile deposits
• Prepare consolidated deposits for banking purposes
• Accurately post these transactions to the general ledger
