Stacker Operator - 2nd Shift

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate issues or necessary adjustments to the appropriate personnel quickly and clearly.
  • Affix protective sheets and tie sheets where necessary.
  • Accurately count and verify unit and inch counts.
  • Ensure all units are properly tagged.
  • Operate corrugator conveyor lines and unitizers efficiently.
  • Understand and read corrugator lineups.
  • Perform tasks like restacking, flipping stacks, and handbanding units as required.
  • Assist in the training of dry-end personnel.
  • Comply with company safety policies and maintain a clean workspace.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Required Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Language Skills: Ability to read and follow factory masters and instructions.
  • Mathematical Skills: Proficient in reading a tape measure with accuracy. Ability to perform calculations involving percentages, measurements, volume, and rates.
  • Reasoning Skills: Ability to carry out instructions given in written, oral, or graphic form. Capable of solving problems with clear variables in standardized situations.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of equipment design, product layouts, and production specifications. Ability to meet quality standards.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly stand, walk, talk, or hear.
  • Frequently use hands for tasks like handling or feeling objects, and reach with arms.
  • Occasionally lift/move up to 50 lbs and, on rare occasions, up to 100 lbs.
  • Must have vision including close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, along with depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

  • Exposed to moving mechanical parts and wet/humid conditions.
  • Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, fumes, airborne particles, and vibrations.
  • The noise level in the environment is typically loud.
