Responsibilities

  • Perform formal stability and compatibility studies for laboratory, pilot, and production batches.
  • Prepare, label, track, and document samples throughout testing programs.
  • Conduct informal stability evaluations to support product development and troubleshooting activities.
  • Monitor samples at designated intervals and document physical, chemical, and performance observations.
  • Escalate atypical results, trends, and stability concerns to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Perform fill-weight and product verification testing.
  • Conduct vacuum, seal integrity, or other product performance evaluations as required.
  • Accurately document all testing results, deviations, and observations.
  • Maintain organized records to support audits, investigations, and regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare and package samples for internal evaluations, customer requests, and third-party laboratory testing.
  • Ensure proper labeling, traceability, and chain-of-custody documentation.
  • Cook up sample shipments and maintain shipment tracking records.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders regarding testing status and timelines.
  • Track sample receipt, testing progress, and completion dates with external laboratories.
  • Ensure final testing reports are accurately filed and accessible to relevant teams.
  • Maintain stability logs, testing databases, and laboratory records.
  • Prepare reports, summaries, and data packages for internal review.
  • Ensure electronic and physical documentation complies with company document control practices.
  • Utilize spreadsheets and laboratory systems to track projects and testing activities.
  • Follow all applicable SOPs, safety procedures, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and internal quality standards.
  • Maintain laboratory organization, cleanliness, and readiness.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization efforts.
  • Participate in audits, investigations, corrective actions, and quality system activities.
  • Assist with equipment maintenance, calibration, and documentation as needed.
  • Partner with Product Development, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, and Operations teams.
  • Provide testing updates and technical support to project stakeholders.
  • Support product commercialization, scale-up, and manufacturing readiness activities.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of laboratory experience in formulation development, product development, quality, testing, or related environments.
  • Experience performing stability, compatibility, verification, or analytical testing.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and other data management tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of GLP, GMP, cGMP, quality systems, and documentation practices.
  • Experience supporting product development and manufacturing operations.
  • Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) or digital workflow platforms.

Skills

  • Experience within cosmetics, personal care, consumer products, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, food & beverage, medical device, or other regulated manufacturing environments.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.50 - $27.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
