The Manager, Records and Administrative Support will deliver an efficient and effective health care record management by planning; reviewing; evaluating and implementing change to achieve organisational outcomes. This position forms part of the senior management team within the Clinical Information Service under the Directorate of Financial Services and is also part of the Health Records management team.

The Manager, Records and Administrative Support is responsible for overseeing the Medico-legal Section of the Clinical Information Service by ensuring that deadlines are met and that information is released under the Health Records and Information Privacy Act (2002) and other relevant policies and procedures. Additionally, the position provides administrative support for the Manager, Records and Administrative Services, including recruitment and onboarding, rostering, transcription services, and ongoing quality improvement activities.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver efficient and effective health care record management through planning, reviewing, evaluating, and implementing change.
  • Oversee the Medico-legal Section to ensure compliance with the Health Records and Information Privacy Act (2002) and other relevant policies.
  • Provide administrative support, including recruitment, onboarding, rostering, transcription services, and quality improvement activities.

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Health Information Management and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to provide authoritative advice across a large and complex organisation.
  • Ability to perform a range of management and administrative tasks, monitoring and managing work priorities.
  • Knowledge and application of legislation and policies relevant to the release of information and health record management.
  • Proven ability to implement strategies for efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Experience using software packages including Word, Outlook, Patient, and Clinical Information Systems.

Pay

$91,326 - $121,497 per annum plus superannuation.

Schedule

38 hours per week.
