A Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2 is a registered nurse appointed to a position approved by the Health Service, with at least 5 years full-time equivalent post-registration experience, including at least 3 years in the specialty field. The role requires approved post-graduate nursing qualifications relevant to the field or equivalent qualifications/experience deemed appropriate by the Health Service.

Responsibilities

• Implement changes and develop direction in clinical practice using evidence-based research.
• Engage in strategic and clinical service planning, including understanding organizational behavior, change management, and cultural change processes.
• Provide clinical teaching and demonstrate competency in contemporary information systems.
• Develop specialty education programs.
• Demonstrate clinical expertise in client-centered consultancy with the ability to work independently.

Requirements

• Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Current NSW Driver’s License (if required by service).
• Minimum five years full-time equivalent post-qualification experience, with at least three years in the specialty field in an acute care facility and/or post-graduate qualifications relevant to the field of practice.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills across a variety of mediums and an understanding of the practice development framework.
• Proven ability to utilize evidence-based research to drive clinical practice changes.
• Skills in clinical teaching and experience in developing specialty education programs.
• Clinical expertise in client-centered consultancy.

Pay

$149,408.12 - $152,392.73 per annum
