A Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2 is a registered nurse appointed to a position approved by the Health Service, with at least 5 years full-time equivalent post-registration experience, including at least 3 years in the specialty field. The employee must also have approved postgraduate nursing qualifications relevant to the field or equivalent qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the Health Service.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills across various mediums, with an understanding of the practice development framework.
- Implement changes and develop direction in clinical practice using evidence-based research.
- Apply skills in strategic and clinical service planning, including understanding organisational behaviour, change management, and cultural change processes.
- Provide clinical teaching, use contemporary information systems, and develop specialty education programs.
- Exhibit clinical expertise in client-centered consultancy with the ability to work independently.
Requirements
- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Current NSW Driver’s License (if required by service).
- Minimum five years full-time equivalent post-qualification experience, with at least three years in the specialty field in an acute care facility and/or postgraduate qualifications relevant to the field of practice.

Pay
$149,408.12 - $152,392.73 per annum plus Superannuation
