Permanent part-time Administration Officer Level 5 role within the Emergency Department at St George Hospital.
About the role
Provide high-quality secretarial and administrative support—encompassing clinical, academic, and research activities—for the Director, Deputy Director, and Nurse Manager in the Emergency Department. Ensure duties are carried out efficiently, on time, and confidentially for these senior staff and, where applicable, other senior team members.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-level administrative support in a busy health environment.
- Organise priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks in a high-volume setting.
- Handle shift-work rostering and medical recruitment.
- Use Microsoft Office products, Healthroster, Vmoney, TESL, Stafflink, and E-Recruit.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and build effective working relationships with management and staff.
- Work with minimal supervision, both independently and as part of a team.
- Drive quality service and continuous improvement in workplace practices and procedures.
- Apply initiative and creative problem-solving.
Requirements
- Proven high-level administration skills in a health environment with recent experience.
- Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Recent experience in shift-work rostering and medical recruitment.
- High-level proficiency with Microsoft Office, Healthroster, Vmoney, TESL, Stafflink, and E-Recruit.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work with minimal guidance and contribute effectively in a team.

$41.53 – $42.47 per hour plus superannuation.
