SSSU RN - $2,500 Sign-On Bonus
About the Role
Promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families; supervising assigned team members. Nursing care is rendered to all patients in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, hospital, Nursing Department and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Float to the entire Outpatient Services area which includes: Day surgery, Infusions, Endoscopy Lab and GI, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Pre-operative Clinic and hospital needs of conscious sedation for special procedures.
- Use skills in nursing assessment to include peri-operative education and care, recognizing post anesthesia and post-operative complications.
- Facilitate discharge and transportation of patients to outlying nursing units or home.
- Rotate in the on-call schedule for evening, weekends and holidays.
- Shifts and days of work vary and will be determined based on need once filled.
Qualifications
Education And Training
- Minimum of an Associate’s degree from an accredited school of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
Licensures/Certifications
- Current Washington State RN license.
- Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR and PALS certification cards on hire.
Experience
- Minimum two years of experience in a hospital or outpatient surgery clinic.
Skills And Abilities
- Excellent communication skills.
- Competent in the use of computers.
- Must have skills in GI, Pre/Post, PACU and day surgery.
Pay And Sign-On Bonus
Pay is determined by experience, and seasoned RN's can expect placement toward the mid to upper end of our wage scale (DOE). A $2,500 sign-on bonus is available for experienced RN's hired into full-time positions in the SSSU department.
