About the role

The Course and Curriculum Coordinator works independently to determine courses for B.A./B.S., emphases, minors, honors programs, and graduate degrees within the School of Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts (SSHA). They collaborate with various departments and offices to ensure proper sequencing, course availability, and compliance with policies.

Responsibilities

  • Determines courses for each term based on departmental and school requirements.
  • Data analysis and error-checking of UC, campus, and School policies.
  • Responds to Faculty inquiries and coordinates with Academic Advising, Registrar’s Office, and department chairs.
  • Sets up enrollment limits, seat reservations, and course restrictions.
  • Oversees Summer Session course scheduling and liaises with the Summer Session Office.
  • Supports instructors by tracking enrollments, assigning instructors of record, and overseeing final grade submissions.
  • Facilitates administrative reviews of new and revised course proposals.
  • Conducts annual assessments of scheduling and course proposal processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years of directly related, progressively responsible experience in a student services job function, or 7 years of education, training, and experience.
  • Advanced degree in Student Affairs or Counseling preferred.

Skills

  • Thorough knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs.
  • Knowledge of department, organization, and University policies, procedures, and directives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with senior management, faculty, and students.
  • Problem identification, reasoning, and analysis to identify trends and find solutions to conflicting situations.

Benefits

The position is union-represented by UAW-SSAP (SV).

Pay

The hiring range for this position is $59,200/yr - $61,200/yr.

Schedule

This position is Hybrid, 3 days On-Site. During the probation period (6 months), this position will be 100% in-person. Initial applicant review begins on or around June 17th, 2026. Positions are filled as needed.
