SS Tech II
Responsibilities
Assignments are generally under the direction of a licensed professional or nurse; provides patient care by performing basic procedures and selected specialized procedures that contribute to the well-being, comfort and safety of patients. May perform technical procedures and report findings to clinical staff. Tasks may include performing venipuncture for blood samples, performing EKGs, placing electrodes and obtaining telemetry readings. Collects specimens, performs basic tests or sends specimens to appropriate laboratory for analysis per Hospital policies.
Qualifications
- Requires high school diploma or GED
- Two years of experience in health care delivery in positions such as: Nursing Assistant; Home Health Aide; EMT; Medic/Corps Person; or two clinical semesters completed as a Nursing Student
- Related academic study
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
Range
Compensation Range $17.50 - $22.79
