SRTE Operations/Tech Trainer

About the role

Training personnel design, develop, and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge, and ensure required qualifications, of employees within the organization. They assess training needs, develop curriculum, and facilitate workshops or training sessions tailored to specific learning objectives. Additionally, they evaluate training outcomes and adjust strategies as necessary to ensure continuous improvement in employee performance and organizational effectiveness.

Operations and technical training personnel design and develop operations and technical training materials, including manuals, presentations, and online modules. They ensure that content is relevant, up-to-date, and aligned with organizational goals. They analyze employee learning needs and partner with subject matter experts and operations/technical management to provide input for course content. They plan and coordinate skills assessments and training, and develop and monitor metrics for evaluating training and development effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Creation of new training materials and revision of existing training materials using the A.D.D.I.E system
• Conducting field and classroom training
• Maintaining compliance with DOE Order 426.2A, Site 4B Manual, and other applicable Site Manuals/Policies/Procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field plus at least five years of experience (YOE) in a relevant role, OR Master's degree in relevant field plus at least two years of experience (YOE), OR Doctoral degree in relevant field
• Equivalencies to experience and education requirements will be considered
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Q Clearance

Qualifications

• Prior SRS training experience
• Experience teaching and/or training background in a nuclear facility
• Basic understanding of the requirements listed in 426.2A
• Possess current facility qualifications (such as operator, inspector, Rad Con, FLM, etc.)
• Qualifications/certifications must be achieved and maintained

Pay

Salary Range: $80,160 - $112,416. This is the range within which SRNS expects the majority of qualified candidates would enter this role if offered. Actual offers may be more or less than the amounts shown depending on candidate’s qualifications, experience, internal equity, and other factors.

Security Clearance

SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug & alcohol test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance.
