Responsibilities
- Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Prepare outgoing shipments and receive deliveries to the warehouse at the dock and using warehouse management systems.
- Manage the preparation, creation, retrieval, validation, and storage of documents necessary to support the operation.
- Label, pack, and load items for shipment according to specifications.
- Stage shipments for shipping and prepare docks for receiving.
- Operate stretch wrap banders and prepare pallets and crates for shipping.
- Unload delivery vehicles and move items to appropriate areas.
- Inspect for damage, compare items and quantities received against freight bills or other records, and document discrepancies.
- Maintain records of all items received and shipped via warehouse management and inventory systems.
- Check receipts against purchase orders for proper shipment, shortages, damages, or defects.
- Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
- Ensure facility is inspection ready at all times for SQFI, FDA, and customer needs.
- Monitor proper inventory requirements (FIFO, Lot, and Age) if the site is a CGMP environment.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts as needed.
- Perform other applicable duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Associate’s degree or two years of equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum six months in a warehouse or distribution environment required.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel required.
- Attention to detail and quality required.
- Ability to multitask in a safe manner.
