SRF Consulting Internship Program
About the role
SRF Consulting Group, Inc. seeks interns to join our team. Most internships are based at our headquarters in Minneapolis, MN, with additional opportunities in St. Paul, MN, Madison WI, Omaha, NE, and Fargo/Bismarck, ND. This posting targets students considering careers in transportation-related fields including highway and municipal engineering, bridge and structural engineering, traffic engineering, transit engineering and planning, transportation planning, intelligent transportation systems and computer automated vehicles (ITS/CAV), electrical engineering, construction administration & surveying, water resources civil and drainage engineering, environmental planning, and landscape architecture.
Responsibilities
- Assist in project research and data collection
- Contribute to design and planning efforts
- Participate in client meetings and presentations
- Support team members in various aspects of project management
- Develop technical reports and proposals
- Engage in community outreach and engagement activities
Requirements
- Current enrollment in a Civil/Structural/Traffic Engineering, Biosystems Engineering (with a Hydrology or Water Resources emphasis), Transportation Planning, Urban/Regional Planning or related program
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a plus
- Students with 1-3 semesters remaining to complete their degree are desired / preferred
Qualifications
Preference is given to candidates who demonstrate strong academic performance, relevant coursework, and a genuine interest in the field of transportation engineering and planning.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software

Pay
Compensation is determined by various factors such as the position you are applying for, education, experience, skills, job location, internal equity, market analysis, and specific qualifications relevant to the role.
Schedule
The chosen candidate could work up to 20 hours during the school year and up to 40 hours per week during the summer.
