Sr. Training Program Consultant

About the role

In this role, you will be the primary driver of hands-on training and personalized skill development for Client Associates, Complex Administrative Managers, Branch Directors and Complex Directors, delivering just-in-time training on technology applications, compliance processes, and business tools.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate new-hire onboarding and role-specific training for Client Associates, Complex Administrative Managers, Branch Directors and Complex Directors.
  • Aid in the creation of content and design curriculums to engage learners and promote understanding.
  • Deliver training sessions both 1:1 and in groups – virtually and in-person.
  • Prioritize technical training on core systems, applications, and workflow tools used in daily operations that mimic actual work environments.
  • Ensure field supervisory roles understand policies, procedures, and compliance expectations.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders on training content and delivery, including HR and Supervision.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on all training content and ensure timely updates are provided for training materials, guides, and job aids.
  • Partner with Technology Experience Consultants and other application subject-matter experts to support new initiatives, process changes, and system updates.
  • Collaborate with Tech Training and other department and field leaders to identify training pain points and rapidly deploy targeted training interventions.
  • Champion technology adoption by simplifying complex systems and ensuring employees leverage our technology tools confidently in their day-to-day roles.

Requirements

  • Must-have Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years training delivery experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • 3+ years experience in financial services and Wealth Management.
  • Ability to use multiple learning methods and link appropriate methods with subject matter.
  • Exceptional training skills—ability to diagnose skill gaps and adapt explanations to diverse learning styles.
  • Ability to work with staff at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in RBC’s technology applications.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve application/process issues during training sessions.
  • Able to quickly assess problems, prioritize key issues, using data and metrics to provide insight.
  • Ability to align training deliverables with RBC’s strategic initiatives.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Advance technology and presentation skills.

Qualifications

Pay

The expected salary range for this particular position is $70,000-$130,000, depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs. You have the potential to earn more through RBC’s discretionary variable compensation program which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation, provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals.
