Responsibilities
- Environment Management
- Own non-production environment health end-to-end — availability, readiness, and stability.
- Maintain environment usage calendar to prevent team conflicts and scheduling collisions.
- Enforce "environment ready" checklists before every sprint cycle or test phase.
- Triage, classify, and route all non-production issues with defined severity and SLA targets.
- Ensure every non-production defect is logged in GAB3 with environment labels, sprint links, and owners.
- Monitoring & Observability
- Maintain Splunk/New Relic dashboards for non-production error rates, slow transactions, and health checks.
- Correlate logs across services using trace/session IDs to accelerate QA debugging.
- Monitor CI/CD pipeline runs and flag failed or partial deployments immediately.
- Validate non-production stability before approving any promotion to production.
- Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, React JS Integration & Dependencies
- Monitor Epic/Cerner FHIR sandbox health and coordinate certificate renewals proactively.
- Manage third-party stubs and sandbox availability to prevent test execution blocks.
- Maintain non-production runbooks — restarts, cache clears, data reseeds, pipeline retriggers.
- Stakeholder Communication
- Deliver daily non-production blocker summaries to Scrum Masters, Release Managers, and Product Owners.
- Own the escalation path when non-production issues threaten the release timeline.
- Identify recurring non-production failure patterns and drive root cause fixes over workarounds.
- Convert non-production operational pain points into actionable GAB3 backlog items.
- Automate environment health checks, data resets, and smoke tests to reduce manual toil.
Requirements
- 10+ years of overall IT experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in Java, React, DevOps/SRE practices.
- Experience with production and non-production environment management.
- Experience with observability, CI/CD, and release support.
